Zapak launches online game based on TV reality show Rakhi Ka Swayamvar

02 July, 2009
Zapak.com has launched an online game based on the TV reality show Rakhi Ka Swayamvar being aired on NDTV Imagine. According to Zapak, the gamers have so far caught over two million of Rakhi Sawant’s kisses in the game since its launch on 29th June 2009.

The game features Rakhi Sawant who is standing on the balcony and throwing objects at the gamer, some with love and some with anger. The gamer has to avoid the objects thrown with anger (belan, broom, egg, garbage bag etc.) and collect objects thrown with love (kisses, rings, roses, garland etc.). The more love objects the user collects the more he impress her.

“Rakhi ka Swayamvar is a unique concept,” Nikhil Madhok, vice president, marketing and communications, NDTV Imagine, has said. “We were looking at a novel way to reach the online audience and engage them with the concept of the show. We have created an entertaining Rakhi ka Swayamvar game and partnered with Zapak.com.”

“This game has created quite a buzz on Zapak.com and we have received a great response for it,” Arun Mehra, chief marketing officer, Zapak Digital Entertainment, has said. “While only 16 prospective bridegrooms will get to compete for Rakhi on television, everyday thousands of users are competing for her on Zapak.com.”
