Google-owned video entertainment site YouTube has launched a Bollywood channel where full length Hindi movies like Raja Babu, Nauker, Bawarchi, Shaan and Mumbai Salsa are available for free online viewing. According to YouTube, the objective is to provide an open platform for Bollywood studios to reach a global audience and make money from their content online.
For the purpose, YouTube has partnered with film producers like Shemaroo Entertainment, Rajshri and UltraHindi to make their movie content available online. According to YouTube, these film producers have the control and flexibility to decide how they want to make their content available on YouTube.
“Our goal at YouTube is to create a comprehensive destination for online video. We want a full range of content that includes premium, user-generated, short clips, full-length shows and movies, entertainment, and news videos. There are Bollywood fans in India and around the world, and YouTube provides an opportunity to Bollywood for presenting their content online,” Gautam Anand, director, content partnerships, Asia Pacific, YouTube, has told AlooTechie.

I think the second and the third screen will play an important role in building brands and consumer loyalty going forward. You watch the first screen (TV) from a distance, look into the second screen (PC) from nearer distance (two feet away) and then you have your third screen (mobile) with you 24 x 7 and very close to you. How effectively you use these third and second screens is the way forward for any brand. "
