Web18 reports 8% growth in its revenue at Rs 71.21 crore for 2008-09

Web18, which holds all the internet properties of Network18 Group, has reported a growth of 8 per cent in its revenue at Rs 71.21 crore for the fiscal ended 31 March 2009, as against a year ago.

In a related announcement, TV18 has informed that huge losses are kicking in from Infomedia18, which has unveiled Yellow Pages in new look and acquired Ask Me and Burrp.com brands during the fiscal.

Raghav Bahl, managing director, TV18, has said, “Infomedia18 is undergoing a revamp, after which the operations will not only be much more cost effective but would have added new revenue streams.” [Source: IndianTelevision]

Web 18 growing, I am sure there was lot of firing of employees and not providing the dues that they deserved to turnaround. Company has been showing losses ever since or may be moneycontrol.com is doing wonders for them.
