Gawker Media sells another blog; puts another one on the block
02 January, 2009
Nick Denton’s Gawker Media has sold off Consumerist.com, an advocacy site with attitude, to Consumers Union, a non-profit organisation that publishes Consumer Reports. Denton is now in talks to sell his Hollywood-focused blog site Defamer.com, reports All Things Digital.
When the Defamer sale is complete, Denton will have nine blogs left, down from a high of 15. Nick Denton, who has also laid off staff, reduced compensation and is trying to force vendors to cut their fees, has told All Things Digital, “The six sites we have put up for sale or merged this year represent about a tenth of our total page views.”

Who provides this sort of information in India?
I operate TrueDelta.com, which provides vehicle reliability information. Only U.S.-market models so far. But we'd cover Indian-market cars if enough owners signed up and participated.
