02 July, 2009
Info Edge India has said its real estate portal 99acres.com received a traffic share of 44 per cent in May 2009, whereas its competitors MagicBricks.com and IndiaProperty.com received a traffic share of 24.5 per cent and 20.3 per cent respectively, according to comScore.

The company also claims that 99acres.com received over 14 million page views, which is more than the combined page views of IndiaProperty.com and MagicBricks.com. According to the data available for May 2009, on an average, a user spends 9 minutes on 99acres.com.

Sumeet Singh, national head, marketing, Info Edge India, has said, “Despite the slowdown, we have seen a continued flow of search and queries from our users. Along with continued investments on the brand and the sales system, we have ensured an improved experience on 99acres.com and extended our reach on the mobile platform. Content has been upgraded to align with user needs.”

According to Info Edge, 99acres.com was revamped in early May 2009 to improve its usability and make it more fast and efficient. With a focus on ‘Click Less, Get More’, 99acres.com modified the home page and search pages on the site, making all relevant information more accessible. Post the revamp, 99acres.com witnessed an increase in queries by 50 per cent and visits by 10 per cent.

Alootechie - seriously please verify facts before publishing gimmick-data! Try this out - do a quick alexa on all 3 sites and vizisense for them - none of the data on reach or uniques show that 99acres has 44% of market share!! Can't you smell a rat where there's one.
